Our Field Lane Home Sports Day Video

Here is our Field Lane Sports Day video celebration for our sports week which was enjoyed by many of our children and staff at home. We received some really great videos which families had posted to their Dojo portfolios and have given their permission to share with you all, showing off all of their wonderful activities.  You were all amazing!

Enjoy watching!

Hello Everybody,

I just wanted to let you all know about an exciting interactive sports event which is happening on Tuesday 7th July. I know that you all really enjoyed our sports home learning week recently and thought you’d enjoy this very special event.

The School Games and Youth Sport Trust have put together an interactive virtual School Games day which will involve many children from our area competing in different sporting challenges. You can take part in the whole day at your home.

To take part, all you need to do is copy this link below. (All instructions and information about the day are included in the pdf).

Over the day there will be many exciting things happening virtually!

There will be a performance by DAZL (Dance Action Zone Leeds).

An official warm up (no equipment required).

Virtual games competitions including netball, rugby, keepie uppie challenges, gymnastics and a fitness challenge.

When you’ve completed some of the challenges, you can even enter your scores to the live event! (Make sure you get parental permission first).

Enjoy taking part!

Blue Peter Sport Badge Challenge

As we won’t be taking part in our Field Lane whole school sports day this year. We wanted to set you a challenge to work on!

This year, Blue Peter have created a special 2020 Sport Badge. To be in the chance of getting a sports badge, Blue Peter are asking                                              children to try a new way of getting active!

This could be a new sport in your back garden, learning a new skill like skipping or football tricks. Perhaps you have been                                                                 doing exercise classes at home or tried a new style of dance?

The only rules are:

You must be trying something new.

You must be doing a physical activity.

If you want to have a go at getting your hands on one of the Blue Peter sports badges, ask your parents to help you and click on this link.

Then, read the information, download and fill out the form ‘Get this Activity’.

Let’s see how many children at Field Lane can achieve this special edition 2020 sport badge!
