Welcome To Our PE Page

At Field Lane, we believe that all pupils are entitled to an enjoyable, competitive, inclusive and diverse PE and Sport experiences. We are committed to providing children with excellent sporting provision. We aim to develop pupils who will be physically active and can flourish in a range of different physical activities. As demonstrated by our recent Gold School Games kitemark award 2018/2019.

The aims of our PE curriculum are to develop pupils who:

·    Have physical literacy and can learn the fundamental multi-skills needed

·    Have an understanding of the importance of being active in promoting long-term health and well-being

·    Children develop and apply fundamental movements within every lesson.

·    Are active throughout each PE lesson

·    Are able to improve their own and others’ performance

·    Develop and explore physical skills with increasing control and co-ordination

·    Can aspire to be young leaders and help organise and motivate excellent sporting attitudes in other children

·    In Key Stage 2, can swim at least 25 metres before the end of Year 6 and know how to remain safe in and around water
