Library Visit

To promote reading for enjoyment, Year 6 visited the library on Monday 7th November. We invited parents to come along to encourage the children to read. It was a very successful visit and the children thoroughly enjoyed looking at all the different books that were on offer.

Being a keen gardener, Usman went straight to the books about gardening and enjoyed reading through all the non fiction books. He didn't know that there was a section in the library dedicated to gardening!

Ahmed found a Doctor Who book and enjoyed reading it during our library visit.

Saajid enjoyed reading books from the Harry Potter series.

All in all, Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed their visit to the library. They took their own library cards and were able to bring books home. I can't wait to hear about all the fantastic books you've been reading!

On Tuesday 4th October, Year 5 and 6 went to Fanwood to complete the quest to save Goddess Athena. They completed a series of activities to obtain different items that were needed in order to save the Goddess. They delved into the dark caves to get the gems of Mount Olympus. They climbed across walls to grab Arachne's web. They journeyed into the underworld and completed the low ropes course to acquire the flame of Hades. They lost themselves in the labyrinth and defeated the night line to get the Minotaur's horn.

Finally, they brought all the items together and summoned the Oracle. With her help, they made the potion to save the Goddess.
