Through our Dragons and Monsters topic, we had the opportunity to think creatively and imaginatively. We had an excellent half term where we wrote letters, dragon stories, instructions and monster reports. We worked in teams to create dragon sculptures with modroc and paper mache. We had excellent SMART times where we could practice our addition and subtractions skills in the Dragon Shop, write dragon poetry and make dragon enclosures. We learnt a new painting skill called Hitofyude Ryuu which is a japanese form of painting a one stroke dragon!

At the start of this topic, we recieved a letter from the Dragon Masters telling us about the unfortunate situation in Wyvernia. We were told that they needed our help to save all the dragons! After writing letters of application to become Dragon Trainers and writing instructions about how to hatch a dragon egg, we finally recieved our Dragon egg that we had to take care of. We looked after it and after two weeks, it finally hatched!
